Thank you Jackie for the birthday wishes! I moved up north in 2000 from our Elmhurst home to build a little log home in the woods with my son that has some learning disabilities and my 21 year old Cat! Quite a caravan. With in a couple years my Mom came to stay from her retirement in Fl. She had early Dementia and passed 2008. So glad I built this little sanctuary for us. The rest of my family are in Belvidere not too far away . My roots go way back in Elmhurst, my English grandfather homesteaded when 83 was a cow path. And they swam in the creek off the big Rock. All my Aunts and Uncles went to York. They were Joscelynes. When I was at York I was absent more than there. I had horses that I bought on my own ,like other kids bought cars. LOL Later in life I worked for Family Services Protective Services for the Elderly and their Shelter for Seniors. Then I was off to Ray Graham Ass. Respite Coordinator and Managed there first CILA in Burr Ridge, Working with Anna Emory Hanson's family. Next move was working for Betty Reed , wisdom Inc. in Elmhurst. I specialized in Alzheimer's care at home. While there I went back to school at 55 and graduated from COD in their Honors program. I seemed to do everything backwards ,but it worked! LOL Next was my building project up north. Pic of my Mom Marilyn and her brother Warren Joscelyne . Both have passed. Glad we had time together up north. Thank you for listening, Sherry
